Troubleshooting for Google Chrome

Troubleshooting for Google Chrome

If you are experiencing issues with accessing your assessment or online textbook via Google Chrome, you can follow the steps below to troubleshoot.
  1. Your first step should be to clear your browser cache. You can do that by following the instructions here. Once the cache has been cleared, you may need to relaunch your browser.
  2. Next, make sure that your browser is up to date.
    1. You can check for updates by clicking the three dots in the top right corner and selecting Settings: Chrome menu showing the selection of Settings
    2. In Settings, select the option for About Chrome. If there is an update available, your browser should automatically start to update. Once the update is complete, relaunch your browser.
  3. Once you have confirmed that your browser is up to date, you should next ensure that your third party cookies are enabled.
    1. Open the page that requires third party cookies. You should see an eye icon on the far right of the search bar at the top: An eye in Chrome that when clicked on allows the user to enable Third-party cookies for the current site
    2. Using the Tracking Protection dialogue box, you should be able to enable third party cookies for the site.
    3. Refresh the page and you should now be able to access the content.
  4. Ad blockers and other browser extensions can interfere with the use of our products. If you are having difficulty using our products and have followed the steps above, please disable these.
